Obituary for Leroy Martinez McAllen, Texas Leroy Martinez,51, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the Village Care Nursing Center in McAllen. Leroy was born on May 12, 1967 in McAllen to Gilberto and Maria Elena Martinez. Leroy was a life long resident of McAllen.
Leroy was a graduate of McHi Class of 1985. An avid outdoors man, Leroy enjoyed fishing,hunting,archery, and many other activities. Being a father or coach Leroy was very active in his children’s lives.
Leroy was employed with Broadway Hardware Store in McAllen, Academy Store in McAllen, and his last employment was with Texas Dept of Public Safety in the Weights and measures division. Leroy was a not only a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, but a fanatic a super fan of the Cowboys. Leroy Martinez truly lived his life to the fullest.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years Mrs. Magdalena “Maggie” Robledo Martinez; his loving children- Anissia Marie Martinez, Christopher Leroy Martinez, Faith Elaine Martinez, Melody Nicole Martinez; His granddaughter- Addilynn Nevaeh Martinez; His Siblings- Gilberto (Alicia) Martinez Jr.and Bobby L.(Benita) “Beni” Martinez. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd.
in McAllen from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home chapel officiated by Pastor Mike Leal. Interment will follow at La Piedad cemetery in McAllen.
