Lester “Vern” Burgess Jr., 71, of Coralville, died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Mercy Iowa City from complications of pneumonia. No services are planned. Born November 7, 1947 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Lester Vern Burgess Sr. and Sophie T. Archackey, Vern was raised and lived in Pontiac for many years.

Vern met and later married Patricia “Pat” Kwiatkowski on April 4, 1995 in Las Vegas.
