Lewis Wayne Whitten, age 67 of Broken Bow passed away at his home Saturday, December 29, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Lewis was born, April 13, 1951 on the corner of ninth and Main in Broken Bow, Oklahoma the third child of Virgil Lee and Florence Whitten. He lived in McCurtain County his entire life.

He was Baptized at Pinetop Church. Lewis was a charter member of Bunch’s coffee drinkers round table where he served as president. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, deer camping, loved the Lord and loved spending time with family and friends.

Lewis’s memory will always have a special place in the hearts of all who knew him. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Whitten Sr. and Florence (Webb)Whitten; grandparents, J.G. and Frances Witten; great grandson Cade Richbourg. Lewis will be forever cherished by his wife of thirty-eight years, Bonnie Whitten; son, Lewis Kyle Whitten and wife Lori, daughter Kerrie Johnson; brother, Virgil Whitten Jr.; sister, Wanda Billingsley and husband Joe; grandchildren, Emily Richbourg and husband David, Kayla Petty and husband Taylor, Jacklyn Duncan, Kaylee Donaldson and husband Kolt, Amanda Owens and husband Jared, Braiden Duncan, seven great-grandchildren: mother-in-law, Florence Barton, father-in-law, Dave Rivera and wife Roberta of California, sister-in-law, Tair Zimmerman and husband Gary; brother-in-law Mark Rivera and wife Becky and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at the Hochatown Cemetery with Bro.
