Alexis was born into this world on October 30, 2000 to James Arthur Webb and Andrea Nichole Mills. She was a bright shining light that had one unique personality, and a smile that was so contagious. If you were in the Smiths Station School District or played softball you knew Lexi.
Lexi was an academic achiever, an athletic standout, and most of all a pillar in the Smiths Station Community who had many friends. Lexi strived for academic excellence. Lexi had carried this through all her years in the Smith Station School District.
Lexi was student Class President, Beta Club Member, Home Coming Court and a whole host of many other distinguishable accomplishments. Lexi cherished her time as a softball standout. She had forged many relationships that lasted all the way to the time of her departing.
From Little League, to Travel Ball, and The Smith Station Softball Program. It should be mentioned that Lexi was able to share many of her softball experiences with her sister Abi. While her parents worked to help achieve her dreams, she had two special family members, Nana Aka Kathy Webb and Krystal Covington who would load the car up on a Friday and depart on a grueling weekend of Travel Softball Tournaments.
They would endure many hours in the heat supporting Lexi, and never complained not once. Lexi was a high achiever who wanted to be the best in all areas of her life. Lexi not only put the work in on the field she also put the work in off the field.
Weightlifting, running, and batting practice. Lexi inherited her father Jay’s athletic abilities and could throw down home from centerfield and muscle balls over the fence when batting. At one time a coach told us that he had to tell Lexi to put the weights down because she wouldn’t stop lifting, and he further stated that she could lift more than most boys.
Lexi also inherited her mother Andrea’s compassion. Lexi loved animals and would always take the time to help another person or animal in need. Lexi’s compassion really showed in the community.
She took time to speak with every person she came in contact with or any person that just needed a friend. Lexi was a Christian who started learning about her faith early in life. Lexi loved church and attended Cascade Hills and their Wednesday night Youth Group.
She loved the Lord and was very open with her faith. She gave her life to the Lord in 2014. Lexi often fished for other souls to bring with her to church.
Lexi was loved by all who knew her. Lexi’s life may have been short but there were so many blessings that have come from it. Her light and life will live on forever.
Lexi is preceded in death by her grandfather George Webb and grandmother Margarette Mills. Lexi is survived by her father James Webb, mother Andrea Mills, step-father Raymond (Shane) Mills, sisters Abigail Webb, Katlyn Pillman, Bailey Webb and her brother Aspen Mills. Grandmothers Kathy Webb, Deborah Bayona, Awilda Ramirez.
Grandfathers Obdulio Ramirez, Raymond Mills, Reggie Bayona. Aunts Krystal Covington, Katrina Antley, Krista Webb, Kimberly Webb, Kathleen Tallent, Judy Rondeau, Tanya Mills, Tracy Lehman. Uncles Greg Webb, Sean Webb, Justin Frazier, Scott Covington, Jamie Antley and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Cascade Hills Church in Columbus, GA with visitation on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL. The family will be accepting flowers or donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis at cff.org, Cascade Hills Student Ministry at 727 54th Street Columbus, GA 31904 or the Smiths Station Softball Program at 4228 Lee Road 430, Smiths Station, AL 36877 in honor of Lexi.
