Wiscasset – Lillian G. Colby, 93 of Bradford Rd. , died Sunday April 28, 2019 at home following a long illness. She was born in Jackman September 11, 1925 a daughter of Ralph and Lucille Poulin Gagnon.

Grew up in Jackman and was educated in the schools there, moving to Wiscasset in 1932. On December 31, 1942 she married Leroy Colby and they made their home in Wiscasset to raise their family. She worked in the shoe shops, and later in the fish factory and seaweed packing, before retiring.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time at their cottage on Westport Island. Lillian was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She is predeceased by her husband who died March 30, 2010 a son, Ralph who died Feb.

11, 2018; her sister Simone Gilbert and a brother Allen Gagnon. Lillian is survived by her son, Daniel Colby with whom she lived and Michael Colby of Pitman, PA; two daughters, Deanna Piccirillo of Wiscasset and Lori Wycoff of Franklin; four sisters, Cheryl Squiers and her husband Steve of Gorham, ME, Isabelle Lewis of Boothbay, Patricia Grant of Wiscasset, Jeannette Steeves of Gorham; two brothers, Ralph Gagnon Jr and wife Joyce of Woolwich and James Gagnon and wife Lucy of Newman,GA; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be 2:00 to 4:00pm Sunday May 5, 2019 at David E. Desmond and Son Funeral Home, 368 High St., Bath.
