OBITUARY Lillian Tatroe September 25, 1928 – January 4, 2019 Lillian Marie Tatroe was born September 25, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska to Jeannie and Frank Frankoff. She had two brothers, Tony and Fred and 5 sisters, Grace, Sarah, Carm, Margaret and Irene. When she was just 16, she met Robert (Tate) Tatroe in 1944 at Crosstown Roller Rink.

They were married on June 1, 1945 at St. Ann’s Church in Omaha. They made their home in Council Bluffs, IA where they raised their three children, Robert (Bob) Jr., Kenneth (Ken) and Diana. Lil worked at Hinky Dinky Grocery Store in Council Bluffs as a courtesy clerk for a while.

She then went on to manage. Bobby’s Dance wear in Omaha and was there until her retirement. Tate passed away on April 26, 1996.

Lil moved to Littleton, CO. to be close to Diana and her family and lived there for 3 years before moving back to Omaha. After a few years on her own, she entered Huntington Park Care Center residence.

Here she socialized with other residents, they knew her as Lilly, and was even known to play bingo every once in a while plus she was always a part of their Christmas program. Lil took great pleasure in life and enjoyed spending as much time with family as possible, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, She loved cooking and would often whip up a family dinner fit to feed an Army. She carried out all of the family traditions: Fourth of July at Peony Park, Christmas Eve gatherings, spaghetti dinners, and Easter Columba come to mind.

She also loved playing the organ, bowling and playing cards, pinochle was her game. Lillian is survived buy her children, Robert Tatroe, Jr (Marsha), Kenneth Tatroe (Michele), Diana Connor (Tom); her grandchildren Adel Sheeler, Jennie Waski (Eric), Vanessa Conner, Megan Koehen (Blake), Colby Tatroe, Jessica Tatroe (Wiley), Matt Tatroe (Kenzie), Monica Tatroe (David); sister Irene Flaxbeard (Don). She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family members.
