Lillie Belle Glover Stevens, 90, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, GA. Born August 22, 1928, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Ralph Glover and Ella Mae Glover and widow of Perry Robert Stevens. In 1972, Mrs. Stevens became a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg, where she participated in the Early Fellowship Sunday School Class, Baptist Women Missionary Union, Yesterday’s Teens, Young At Heart, and Roto Organization.

She was a former member of Liberty United Methodist Church, a pianist, treasurer and leader of the United Methodist Women Group, a volunteer at St. Luke’s Free Medical Clinic, and a member of the Ladies First Thursday Club of Spartanburg. She was also a graduate of Robinson Business College and retired from Hoechst Celanese. Surviving are her children, Larry Robert Stevens (Laurel) of Jefferson, GA and Kathy Stevens of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Justin Stevens (Stephanie), Blake Stevens (Brittney), Brooke Walker (Bob Pisarski), and Courtney McCraw (Skyler DeShields); great-grandchildren, Kira Stevens, Caillin Stevens, and Ryken Pisarski; sister, Elizabeth Pitts of Spartanburg, SC; and sister-in-law, Ruth Glover of Inman, SC.

Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 AM Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with funeral services following at 12:00 noon, conducted by The Rev. Sal Barone. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd.
