LILLIE MAE WINN October 07, 1928 – January 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card On October 7, 1928 in Crosby, Texas Lillie Mae Winn was born the second child of Hance and Lela Culbertson. She accepted Christ at an early age and remained committed to her faith for the remainder of her life. She loved the Lord Jesus as her Savior and soon coming King.

This was evident by the life she lived, the service she rendered, and the love she had for others. Lillie Mae had six children: Lawrence Culbertson (Bugger), Henry Williams (Boobie), Vernon Williams (Thedy), Phyllis Williams (Babygirl), Lillie Doris Winn (Cookie), and Elmer L. Winn Jr. (Tinker). Her first husband was Henry Williams, who preceded her in death.

Later she met and married Elmer L. Winn on April 24, 1964. They remained committed to each other until she departed this life. They were married 63 years.

After many years of service, she retired from Houston Independent School District. After retirement she enjoyed attending church services and keeping her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, sitting on the front porch, word search puzzles, and going to the casinos.

After being diagnosed with Alzheimer, she lived the remaining of her years with her daughters, Phyllis and Cookie. Preceding her in death are her parents: Hance and Lela Culbertson and brother, James Culbertson. She leaves to cherish her memories: Husband, Elmer L. Winn Sr., six children; Lawrence Culbertson and wife Ingrid, Henry Williams and wife Georgia, Vernon L. Williams, Phyllis M. Williams, Lillie Doris Winn, and Elmer L. Winn Jr. and wife Yolanda.

She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
