OBITUARY Lilo O’Carroll July 14, 1925 – February 4, 2019 Lilo O’Carroll passed away on Monday of natural causes. She touched many lives with her kindness and compassion. Lilo was born in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland to Ned McGrath and Margaret Moloney.

She graduated from Nursing school in Dublin, Ireland and set out for Canada with three of her fellow nurses who would remain life long friends. She met her husband Frank O’Carroll in Vancouver where they married and started their family before immigrating to San Francisco and settling in Santa Clara. After her husband’s untimely passing in 1970 she raised five children, two sets of twins, on her own with a firm hand and a loving heart.

Lilo was proud to have worked as an RN at Valley Medical Center. She found strength in her Catholic faith and her trust in the Virgin Mary. Lilo was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, friend, nurse, cook, gardener, seamstress and volunteer.

Lilo is survived by her devoted children Annie, Aidan, Sean (Tammy), Kieran and Edmund (Melaney) and grandchildren Aidan O’Carroll, Bridget O’Carroll and Colin O’Carroll of Tampa, FL, Ryan O’Carroll, Chelsea O’Carroll, Madison O’Carroll and Caitlin O’Carroll of San Jose. She is also survived by her sister Nita Ryan of Borrisleigh, County Tipperary, Ireland. Friends and family are invited to a Rosary on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 4:00 pm at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara and a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am on Monday, February 11, 2019 at St. Leo the Great Church, 88 Race Street, San Jose.

Burial to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
