Linda Faye Frye Freeman, 58, of Gray, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital. She was a native of Johnson City and daughter of the late Claude and Dorothy Imogene Frye. Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her daughters: Kayla Cross and her husband Erik, and Jenny Freeman; her sisters: Margaret (Jo) Tester, Ruby Kilby and her husband Sam, and Rachel Frye; her brother, Eddie Frye and his wife Ada, grandchildren: Paisley, Ella, and Emma Cross, Skyla and Remington Judd; nieces and nephews: Prestina Crowe and her husband Dennis “Pork”, Tammy Frye, Danielle Frye, Chuck Harris, Brandon Simpson; great-nephews and niece: Caleb Crowe, Cody Crowe and his wife Katlin Crowe, Jason Davis, Arron Davis, and Stephanie Pourch and her husband Bobby.

Linda’s family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Grover May and the staff at Franklin Woods for going above and beyond to care for her. The family will greet friends to share memories on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 5:00 pm until a Celebration of Linda’s life at 7:00 pm in the Sunrise chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services Johnson City with Pastor Richard Bawgus officiating. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday at New Bethel Cemetery in Piney Flats.

Active pallbearers will be Chuck Harris, Cody Crowe, Erik Cross, Hunter Judd, Steve Rasnick, Jason Bawgus, Mike Baker, Richard Keys, and James Nagy. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be sent to Gray Community Chest, 113 Gray Ruritan Road, Gray, TN 37615.
