Linda A. Bashans, age 72 of Saginaw passed away November 4, 2018 at Covenant Healthcare Saginaw following an extended illness. The daughter of the late Steve and Ann (Toath) Pluta, Linda was born May 20, 1946 in Manhattan, New York. She married Edwin Bashans on August 6, 1966 in Saginaw and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2012.

Linda enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and cooking family recipes. She loved her family to the fullest and they were always first. She had a generous spirit especially at Christmas time.

She leaves behind and will be missed by her 3 children, Susan (Brad) Huffman, Lisa (Bill) Roper, and Kristie (Erik) Shoemaker; 4 grandchildren, James Huffman, Maija Bashans, Connor and Owen Shoemaker; 2 siblings, Steve Pluta and Pat (Sam) Olivarez; and her beloved dog Bear. In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by 2 siblings, Susan and Vicki Pluta. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7th, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 300 Johnson Street in Freeland.

Rev. Fr. Bob Byrne will officiate.

Friends may visit with the family at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home of Saginaw.
