Linda Smith December 23, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook Linda Smith, 74, of Wanchese, NC died Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Peak Res – Outer Banks. Born September 17, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Agnes Strickland and Robert J. Smith. A longtime resident of Manteo, NC, she worked in the hospitality industry as a cook and cleaner.

She was also very interested in genealogy. Her loving and caring nature made her the cornerstone of her family. Linda is survived by a daughter, Allison Lopez (José); two sons, Michael S. Smith and Mark Smith (Sandi Fike); grandchildren, Tiffany Smith, Ashley Turbbit, Tyler Smith, Jenna Smith, Whitney Kittridge, Zachary Smith, Noemi Lopez, Malki Lopez, Savannah Durand, Kathryn Durand, Brianna Lopez, and Joseph Lopez; and great-grandchild, Faith Prentice.

Also, surviving are two sisters, Connie Cannon and Betty Lou Johnson; and two brothers, Glen Smith and Dennis Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Smith; two sisters, Alma Williams and Wilma L. Smith; and two brothers, Clarence Smith and James E. Smith. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Hockaday Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
