Linda M. Humphreys, age 76, went home to heaven on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in Muskegon. She was born October 22, 1942 in Shelby to Henry and Clara (Campbell) Sobers. Linda was raised in Ferry.

She was a 1960 graduate of Shelby High School. Linda married Kenneth Humphreys on July 29, 1961. They first resided in Coopersville.

They lived in various places but spent the most time in Twin Lake from 1969 until the early 1990’s before moving to Rothbury. Ken passed away on March 22, 2003. Linda later moved to Hart before residing in Muskegon the past three years.

Linda was a member of the Methodist Church and had been a lay speaker. She loved to tell storys and had a very big heart and would help anyone in need. She is survived by her children, Jeff (Ruth) Humphreys, Roseann (Ronel) Shook, Michael (Jennifer) Humphreys and Kristofer (Jennifer) Humphreys; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; her brother, Jim (Kathy) Sobers; and her sister, Jessie Horton.

Besides her husband, Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Gerald “Joe” Sobers, and great-granddaughter, Bristol Fessenden. Service arrangements are pending at this time.
