Linda Sue Wolfe, 56, of Indiana, PA, while surrounded by her loving family, passed peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus on May 6, 2019 at her childhood home in Commodore, PA after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Linda Sue Bowlin on April 11, 1963 in Indiana, PA to her loving parents, William E. Bowlin, Jr. and Shirley A. (Wissinger) Bowlin. Linda was a graduate of Purchase Line High School of the class of 1982.

She is fondly remembered as being kind to all. She excelled in homemaking and won the Senior Homemaker’s Award. She married the love of her life, Leslie Wolfe on October 26, 1985.

Linda loved babies and children and was a babysitter for several families over the years. She loved being a homemaker and a mother. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress and enjoyed making unique hats, clothing, and blankets for her grandchildren and children of friends.

She enjoyed camping at Ole Bull and Cherry Springs State Parks for over 30 years. Linda enjoyed her 3 toy poodles, but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her church family at Ernest Bible Church. She was a loving and generous soul.

She enjoyed going to yard sales, especially the 100-mile yard sale. She also enjoyed collecting old hats and quilts. Linda loved giving gifts to everyone and helped anyone she could who was in need.

She was a member of the Ernest Bible Church and shared her faith with everyone. She is survived by her devoted spouse, Les; her loving children, Tashina and her fiancée, Calvin and David and his wife, Crystal who adored her mother-in-law; 3 adoring grandchildren, Destiny, Kaitlynn, and Kristopher; mother, Shirley A. Sherry and her husband, Leonard; sister, Cindy Rummell and her husband, Ralph; brother, Timothy Bowlin and spouse, Chuck; sisters-in-law, Cindy and Janet; brother-in-law, Ernie; special cousin, Daniel Rose and his spouse, Patricia; family friends, Kim Gresco and David Townsend; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Linda was preceded in death by her father; mother-in-law, Barbara Wolfe; and sister-in-law, Jennifer Aimino.

Friends will be received on Friday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor John Sykes, officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Linda’s honor to Ernest Bible Church, 70 Church Street, Ernest, PA 15739.
