OBITUARY Lindy J Oedewaldt May 30, 1928 – October 20, 2018 Bartonville – Lindy J. Oedewaldt, 90 of Bartonville, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Monticello, Illinois. Born May 30, 1928 in Mapleton, IL to Seth and Angeline (Pedze) Oedewaldt; he married Mariella McCamant on June 9, 1950 in Peoria, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughter, Kathy (David) Wickline of Champaign, IL; three granddaughters, Lyndy (Phil) Januszewski, Shelby (Keith) Janson, and Darby (Danny) Pfoff ; five great grandchildren; brother, Clyde (Janet) Oedewaldt of Pekin; sister, Ella Mae Woodcock of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. Lindy was a US Navy veteran and also served in the Merchant Marines.

He retired in 1991 after a 35 year career with IBM as a Customer Engineer and was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was also a member of the Bartonville United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Mapleridge Cemetery near Mapleton, IL.

The Rev. Walter Wilkins will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the Bartonville United Methodist Church.
