The family will gather Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM at the home 537 Sandy Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524. Mr. Boykin was born on July 17, 1958 in Wilson County to the late Walter Lee and Juanita Bass Boykin.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Dale Boykin; and a brother, Ricky Dale Boykin. He was a retired truck driver with XLG Transport. Surviving include his wife of 22 years, Elinda Young Boykin, children, Ashley Woodall, Linwood Ray Boykin, Jr., James Edelen and Terry Lawson; grandchildren, Kayla, Macey, Carson, Paislee, Austin, Matthew, Ayden, Jacob, Kyleigh, Destiny, Andee, Andrew and Allyssa; brothers, Timothy Boykin and Paul Boykin and a sister Debra Bates.
