OBITUARY Logan Kay Morrill Logan Kay Morrill, a man with many talents and a sweet soul, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Monday, September 17, 2018. He was the youngest child of Elizabeth Rowland and Kenneth Layne Morrill. Born on September 15, 1987 in Chandler, Arizona, he grew up with his sister and brother (and beloved cats) in Paradise Valley.

Logan had a keen mind and an amazing memory. He excelled in the Scottsdale schools. Logan (#76) held the Chaparral High School varsity record for sacks by a defensive back in a single season.

He attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at ASU, often on the dean’s list. He performed leading roles in comedies and musicals; authored staggering stories; and composed and performed his own songs, with rap being his favorite. He was passionate about life; a thrill seeker.

As a child he rode the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the US; and as an adult he found pleasure in sports, weight-lifting and fitness, his work as a salesman, and his many life adventures. Logan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Palo Verde Ward. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Logan will be deeply missed by family and friends who loved him with his infectious smile, quick wit, and engaging personality. They were richly blessed to have had Logan in their lives. He is survived by his parents; sister, Ashley McNair (Matt), Arlington, Virginia; brother, David (Anna), Washington, DC; nephew and niece, Jack and Myla McNair; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family graveside service and interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Salt Lake City, Utah. Donations in Logan’s memory may be made to the Arizona Humane Society.
