Obituary for Lois Jane Marckel Lois Jane Marckel passed away on October 3, 2015 in St. Paul, MN and was a former long time resident of Alliance. She was born on October 5, 1917 to the late Mabel (Fairall) and Mervin Donaldson. Lois married H. Carlos Marckel on July 4, 1937 and he predeceased her in October of 2004.

Mrs. Marckel worked as a bookkeeper for the H. Carlos Marckel Mason and Cement Contracting Company. She is survived by her son, Paul of Westerville, OH; her sister, Fern Wilson of Alliance; three grandchildren, Jeff of St. Paul, MN, Chris of Madison, WI and Eric of Columbus, OH; and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters; Marian Jones, Isabel Weimer and Dorothy Mae Elliott.

Funeral services will be held at the Alliance City Cemetery Chapel on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Stephanie Lee, Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by the Walton-Schrader Funeral Home, 1131 West State Street, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
