Lois M. Rogers, 86 of Burnettsville passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, October 14, 2018 at her residence. Born on November 30, 1931 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Esther (Martin) Nethercutt. She was a 1950 Burnettsville High School graduate.

On June 4, 1950 she married Melvin W. “Pete” Rogers, he survives. Lois retired from Saylor’s Candy Company in Burnettsville after 45 years. She was also a homemaker and farmwife.

Lois was a charter member of Bell Center BibleChurch where she was also the Craft Director for Vacation Bible School. Survivors include her husband, Melvin W. “Pete” Rogers of Burnettsville, brother, Doyne Nethercutt (Pat) of Monticello, sisters, Gillea Layer of Royal Center and Bette Stangle (Ed) of Monticello and sister in law, Carole Rogers of Logansport. She is also survived by numerous niece and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Ed Roller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Davis Cemetery in Burnettsville.

Memorial contributions may be to Bell Center Bible Church.
