Mrs. Lois Opal (Hughes) DePriest, 84, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019. She was born in St. Louis to the late William and Opal Pearl (Williams) Hughes. Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service (316 N. Chestnut St., Seymour, IN 47274) on Tuesday, May 7 at 10 am with Revs.

Andy Schroeder and Larry Robbins officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday from 4-8 pm and Tuesday from 9 am until time of service.

She married Bill G. DePriest on March 28, 1953; he preceded her in death on August 10, 2002. She was a member of Seymour Christian Church. Lois always had in her heart to live to glorify the Lord and in that she served others.

She retired at 80 years of age from GNC Store Seymour. Lois is survived by her son, Dennis DePriest; daughters, Debra (David) Wilson and Sharon (Greg) Lucas; grandchildren, Suzanne (Joe) Koepke, Matthew (Sarah) DePriest, Amy (Luke) Hesher, Kara (Sam) VanEerden, Christopher (Susanna) DePriest, Michael DePriest, Haley DePriest, Jenna DePriest, Gabriel (Sarah) Wilson, Jesse (Katy) Wilson, Benjamin (Teia) Lucas, Melissa (Shawn) Burton, Cassandra (Jordan) Wyatt, Amanda Lucas, Dorothy (Mark) Murry and Jacob Lucas; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter-in-law, Jill DePriest.
