Lois Lorraine Ramer April 13, 1931—February 14, 2019 Lois Ramer, 87, of Albany passed away February 14th at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House. Born in Elmhurst, Illinois, the youngest of six children to Harold and Cynthia (Vose) Stevens, Lois lived in Chicago until age 13 before moving to Salem where she was active in the Salem Evangelical Church. She graduated from Salem High School in 1949.

Lois worked at Reid-Murdoch as a shipping clerk, and then at the State Capital in the finance office. She married Ken Ramer in Panama in 1955 while he was stationed in the military there. They moved to Albany where she worked at Business Flyways, Inc. and Ramer’s Flying Service.

Ken passed away in 2006. Lois was a faithful member of First Assembly of God Church (now Hope Church) where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She also was a teacher’s aide in the library at Grand Prairie School.

Lois was a loving mother, wife, and outgoing person in the community. Her wit and sense of humor was known by all. She loved giving to missions at Hope Church.

She had a passion to reach out and share the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. She and Ken opened their door to many young people in the community who needed family. Lois never turned away anyone who desired help and prayer.

Lois is survived by her daughter Tammy Skoien of Albany; son Mark Ramer of Salem; and step children Keith Ankrom and Donna Pardus; and numerous grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken; daughters Kathi Anderson and Jeannie DeLude; brothers Harold and Robert; and sisters Lucille, Frances, and Norma. We will be celebrating her life at Hope Church in Albany on her actual birthday, at 11am Saturday April 13th.
