Lola Ditello, 71, of South Point, Ohio passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, February 7th, 2019 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born July 15, 1947 the daughter of Otto and Delcie Hale Meritt. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Susan (Phillip) Wilks and Nicholas (Brittany) Ditello; her former husband, Daniel Ditello; her grandchildren, Kayla Rakes, Alex Wilks and Alyssa Sparks; her great grandchildren, Kinsley Elizabeth and Adelyn Sue Rakes; her sisters, Margaret Brinegar, Nola Riggs and Joyce Anderson; one brother, Arthur Merritt as well as many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Goldie Lee and Ethel Adkins; and two brothers, Howard and Arval Merritt. Lola was the sweetest, most kind hearted person. We were blessed to be her children and grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Pulmonary unit at St. Mary’s Medical Center and the staff of the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in her memory. Services will be held at 11am On Monday, February 11, 2019 at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, OH.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Bradford Cemetery in Pomeroy, OH. 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”.
