Lonnie Columbus Byrd age 80, of Winfield, Tennessee, departed this life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at his home. He was born July 1, 1938 in Winfield, Tennessee to the late Essau Byrd and Lola Jeffers Byrd West. He was a member of Macedonia Church in Oneida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Roger Byrd; brother J. D. Byrd; sisters, Neva June Norris and Elsie Hicks; grandson, Nathan Griffin. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janice Byrd;… Read More » children, Mary King and husband Jeff, Sue Griffin and husband Jim, Lonnie Byrd and fiancé Dusty, Deanna Huckeby and husband Billy and Chris Byrd; special granddaughter, Heather Adkins; (14) grandchildren; (16) great grandkids; (1) great great grandchild and one on the way; half-sisters, Carla, Louise, Auddie and Mary Jo; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday afternoon, January 2, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until time of funeral service at 3:30 P.M., at the New Light Baptist Church with Bro.

Dudley Harness and Bro. Randell Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by the New Light Choir.

Burial will follow in the New Light Cemetery in Winfield, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be A. J. Young, Kevin Adkins, Drake Adkins, Billy Huckeby, Jeff King, Lonnie Byrd and Chris Byrd. Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida is in charge of the arrangements for the family of Lonnie Columbus Byrd.
