Mr. Lonnie Vaughn, Jr., age 92, of Carlisle Street, Albertville, Alabama died on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital. Service will be held at McRae Chapel on Friday, May 3, 2019 at One o’clock p.m. Bro. Quinton Williams and Bro.

Kyle Cantrell will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Vaughn was born in Kentucky on January 30, 1927 to Lonnie & Flora Baison Vaughn. He was a retired Manager with a textile manufacturer. He was a proud Army Veteran serving during WWII.

Mr. Vaughn is survived by his Wife of more than 70 years: Louise Vaughn of Albertville, Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Pat & Bill Lozo of Guntersville, Jane & Stanley Parker of Florida, Marie Smith of Georgia and Dawn Vaughn of Albertville, Grandchildren: Tommy Crabtree (Laura) David Pitts (Jennie), Karen Benedikt (Glenn), Tabitha Pratt (Chris), Jessica McKinney (Jesse), Stewart Parker (Amanda), Natasha Smith, Andrew Vaughn (Mollie) and Coltin Vaughn (Hope), Great Grandchildren: William Pitts, Tristen Pitts, Francisco Parker, Lillian McKinney, Hazel Parker, Tyler Benedikt and Meagan Pendley ( Nick), Great Great Grandchild: Asher Pendley, Sisters: Wilma Rape and Betty Cates both of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his Parents and Son-in-Law: Sanford Smith. Pallbearers will be Tommy Crabtree, David Pitts, Stewart Parker, Andrew Vaughn and Coltin Vaughn.

The family is accepting flowers or suggests donation to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951.
