HOUSTON, Jr., Mr. Lonzell, born January 12, 1957 in Franklin, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 1, 2019. Lonzell loved his family and touched everyone he came into contact with. He served his Lord and Savior and was a faithful member of A New Beginning Church of God in Christ, serving as a Deacon under Pastor Craig Wilson.

He served his family and friends until the day of his death. He was known and loved by everyone. He had so much love in his heart that he could not tell anyone NO.

He was happy to help out wherever he could. He was a proud man and loved us all. Preceded in death by his father, Lonzell Houston Sr. and mother, Ardivee Glen; sisters, Norene Hayward, JoAnn Houston, Minnie Smith, and Myra Houston.

He leaves to cherish, his loving wife, Cheryl Houston; children, Shameka (Gregory) Crawford, Raymond (Kristyn) Smith, Lonzell (Joslynne) Houston; sister, Barbara Curry; grandchildren, Shatonya, DaVonna, James Jr., Allen, Gregory II, Zyla, Raymond Jr., Erika, Frank, MiLuv, Isaiah, Sa’Riya, Atravian, Ananie, Sophia, and Alexander; great grandchildren, Robreon and JaQuel; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, lifelong friend, Bernard Jorden whom he holds all dear to his heart. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, March 8, 2019 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Pastor Craig Wilson officiating.

Visitation 9 am at the funeral home until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Gardens.
