Loraine’s Obituary Mrs. Loraine Hunt May, age 85, of Sandersville, died on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Addington Place in Dublin following an extended illness. A private graveside funeral service will be held for family only. Mrs. May was a native of Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of the late James Herschel Hunt and the late Myrtle Folsom Hunt.

She had lived in Sandersville for many years and was the wife of the late John Gordon May and the mother of the late Robbin Dianne May. Mrs. May was a homemaker and a member of Warthen Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Gordon Dwayne May and his wife Dianne of Milledgeville; daughters, Pamela Diane May Hooks and her husband Joseph of Tennille and Debra Denise May Adams and her husband Charles Jr. of Sandersville; grandchildren, Rebecca May, Anna Adele Vickery, Kevin Jason Hooks, Amanda Rene Poff, Sarah Hooks Osburn, Charles Emmett Adams III, Jessica Loraine Adams, Leslie Adams Perry and John Thomas Adams; five great grandchildren; sister, Viola Hunt Mason; and a brother, Donald Hunt, both of Iowa.

The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Warthen Cemetery Fund, c/o Karen Scott, 6634 Highway 15 North, Warthen, Georgia 31094. May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements. www.
