Loraine (Skeeter) C. Manning (Rohrig) of West Harrison, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 8pm in her home. She was 91 years old. She was born in Blue Ash, Cincinnati, Ohio as the second of nine children.

Born November 21, 1926. She is preceded in death by her Parents, John and Mamie Rohrig, Stepmother Alma Rohrig and her Husband of 59 years Frederick Shearman Manning. Her Brothers and Sisters, Curtis, Roy, John, Bertie, Jim, George and Millie also preceded her in death.

Her surviving sister and brother in law Posey and Bob Lauber live in Sunman Indiana. She married Frederick Shearman Manning in Cincinnati in 1953 and had three children. Frederick Shearman Manning Jr. (Fred), Randolph Lee Manning (Randy), and Alma Annette Manning / Banning (Nettsie).

Skeeter developed a Neurological Disorder in the early 1970’s. Initially diagnosed as Multiple Sclerosis but later diagnosed as an Unknown Neurological Disorder. Out of his love for her, Fred Manning Sr. cared for her and made her life as normal as possible.

After his death in 2012, her son and daughter carried on his tradition of care until she passed on July 15th. She also preceded Six Grandchildren, Amy, Ross, Craig, Wade, Michael and Mary. Five Great Grandchildren, Lucas, Lara, Emilia, Leyton and Alexander.

Loraine (Skeeter) and Fred Manning’s legacy will live on in their children, grand children and great grand children. Skeeter requested that her body be donated to the University of Cincinnati for research. There will be a memorial service scheduled in the future when it is convenient for her immediate family to attend.
