Lorene’s Obituary Lorene, of Farmington Hills and Naples, FL, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, businessperson and friend, passed away at her Florida home on Wednesday evening, May 15th. She was 77, and in declining health for some time. Lorene was born in Port Huron, Michigan, on September 16, 1941.

She married E. John Hale, Jr., in November 7, 1959, and together, they enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage. Lorene, along with her husband, John, established EJH Construction in 1972. EJH Construction is a renowned disaster mitigation, disaster restoration, and commercial renovation company located in Farmington Hills.

Surviving are her beloved husband, John; children, Deborah (Larry) Ward, John III (Cori), Donna (Tony) Chilkiewicz and Diane (Chris) Campbell; and eight grandchildren. The Hale family will receive guests at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 22nd, from 2-8 pm, with 7 pm prayers and remembrances. Lorene’s funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday morning, May 23rd, 10:30 am (in state at 10:00 am) at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 West 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills.

A luncheon will follow her mass. Entombment will take place at Parkview Memorial Mausoleum in Livonia. In lieu of customary remembrances, those who wish to further honor Lorene’s memory are invited to consider contributions to Vista Maria, Dearborn Heights, or Make-a-Wish Foundation of Michigan.
