Mrs. Whaley is the widow of Mr. Marion Whaley; the daughter of Mr. James and Edith William Wright; the mother of Ms. Karen Whaley Smalls, Mrs. Kirk Whaley (Deborah), and the late Mr. Kevin Whaley (Dapheny); and the sister of Mr. Walter Wright, Sr. (Celestine), Mrs. Doris Miles (Harold) and Ms. Ella Bligen.
