Mrs. Loretha Lambert Jones, the wife of the late Luman Jones; was born in Monroeville, Alabama May 4, 1951, the 3rd child to the late Reverend Archie Lambert Sr. and Lucille Dotson Lambert. The family later relocated to New Orleans, LA. in the year of 1955.

Loretha was preceded to glory by both parents; one brother Archie Lambert Jr. and one sister Charlene Lambert. She is survived by her three lovely daughters; Nicole Jones, Simeriah Lambert, and Tysha Lambert; 15 grandchildren, precious, Nikia, Nikee, Nikki, Collinese, Nykira, Jimiah, Jimmell, Jimeria, Damonnae, Shamika, Sammika, Troy, Trovante, and Trovonne, and 15 great grandchildren. She is survived by 2 brothers ; Willie Lambert and Ronnie Lambert (New Orleans), 8 sisters ; Maxine Lambert (MO), Eula Hickman, Clementine Lambert (LA), Linda Lambert (MO), Brenda Brown, Cheryl Dickerson, Deborah Lambert, and Nesice Brown ( New Orleans).

Mrs. Jones had a heart of gold if she had it and someone needed it she would share it. She fulfilled her earthly duties of loving the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind strength and loving her neighbor as herself. Her health began to deteriorate years ago until present time of departure.

She leaves to cherish her memories three beautiful daughters. She enjoyed dancing and cooking, she was one of the best cooks and dancers ever. She attended Sidney Collier Vo Tech, where she received certification as a LPN.

Later she went on to work at various hospitals and nursing homes. Funeral services will be held at D.W. Rhodes Chapel, 3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, 70125 on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Darby, officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery.
