OBITUARY Loretta Bonassisa February 3, 1934 – December 9, 2018 Loretta Bonassisa, 84, of Belleville, formerly of Newark, passed away on Sunday, December 9th 2018, at Clara Maass medical Center, Belleville. She worked for Gordos in Bloomfield for many years. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 12th from 2-6 pm.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Zarro Funeral Home, 145 Harrison Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003. Relatives and friends are asked to go directly to the mass on Thursday, December 13 at 10:30am at St. Lucy’s Church, Newark, NJ. The cremation will be private.

Loretta is survived by her brothers and sisters; Anthony and Rocco Bonassisa, Leonilda Latora, Edith Pappalardo, Rosina Foti and Marie Cekic. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Catherine (Berardi) and Anthony Bonassisa, brothers, Michael Bonassisa; sisters, Philomena Ferreira and Concetta Guzman.

She loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed trips to the Jersey Shore, reading books, puzzles, music, NY Yankees and good conversations from pop culture to world news. You could always count on her honest opinion. She was loved by all and will be missed most of all by her nieces and nephews who she loved and encouraged all her days.
