LORRAINE SAPP Lorraine M. Sapp, 66, formerly of Quincy, passed away at 2:38 a.m. Monday (March 25, 2019) at Aperion Care in Jacksonville, Illinois. Born April 3, 1952 in Louisiana, Missouri, Lorraine was the daughter of Robert Kenneth and Mary Etta Perkins Edwards. She married Robert E. Sapp Sr. on May 29, 1970 in Quincy.

He preceded her in death on December 3, 2016. Lorraine had been an active member of the Quincy Salvation Army. She enjoyed bowling and collecting rocks, but her family was most important to her.

She loved family picnics and reunions and cherished anniversaries and holidays, especially Christmas. Lorraine helped her parents for many years in operating Kiddie Land at South Park. It became a more special place for her when Robert Sapp proposed to her at Kiddie Land.

Following her marriage, Lorraine stayed home to raise and care for her family. Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Attey (Tim) of Quincy; two sons, Robert Sapp Jr. and Joseph C. Sapp both of Quincy; a daughter in law, Lisa D. Sapp of Quincy; three grandchildren, Trevor Attey, Riley Sapp and Kaylee Sapp all of Quincy; a brother, Robert Edwards (Teresa) of Quincy; a sister, Barb Surgeon of Louisiana, MO; and many loving nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and a sister, Joan Francis.

Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 10:15 in Sunset Cemetery with Captain Grace Roinila officiating. Visitation will be Friday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
