Lorraine Irene Perry, 87, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, July 15th, 2018 at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 28, 1930, a daughter of the late Ethel Irene (Price) Lewis and James Summerfield Lewis. Lorraine spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She was united in marriage to the late Luther Lynn Perry Jr on May 2, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland and to this union five children were born, four boys and one girl, Luther Lynn III, James Summerfield, Daniel Jerome, Cherrie Marie and Dennis Franklin. During her working years, Lorraine worked as a CNA and on her days off she would bake and decorate cakes. Lorraine loved gardening flowers, growing vegetables, traveling, horses and enjoyed painting and art.

Lorraine leaves to mourn to her passing, sons, James Perry of Cresco, Iowa, Daniel Perry and wife Lisa of Calico Rock, Arkansas and Dennis Perry and wife Sandy of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Cherrie (Perry) Ruch and husband Max of Lansing, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and one on the way; three sister-in-laws; her faithful companion a poodle, Joy and her fine feathered friend a cockatiel, Julia. She was preceded in death her husband, Luther Lynn Perry Jr; son, Luther Lynn Perry III; parents, James and Ethel Lewis; two sisters, Lucille Reynolds and Ethel Ballou; brother, James Lewis; daughter-in-law, Joyce Perry and two grandchildren, Benjamin Wright and Aaron Wright. Pallbearers include: John Phillips, Kevin Phillips, Joe Lahey, Kevin Pendergrass, Josh Smith and David Humphries Honorary Pallbearers include: Nathan Dittmer and Drew Smith In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Friends of Horseshoe Bend Animals, PO Box 31, Franklin, Arkansas 72536.

Funeral services will be held, Friday, July 20, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM at Doty Family Funeral & Memorial Service Chapel in Horseshoe Bend with Pastor David Tews officiating. Interment will follow at Evening Shadows Memorial Park in Horseshoe Bend. Visitation will be held, Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral & Memorial Service Chapel.
