Louis Andrew Munao, Sr., 58, of Washington Island, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. A funeral service to honor Lou’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church on Washington Island at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Alan Schaffmeyer of Trinity Ev.

Lutheran Church and Pastor Rick Smith of Bethel Ev. Free Church will co-officiate the service. A private burial will take place in the Washington Island Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the church from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A special ferry to Northport is scheduled to leave Washington Island on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. A van will transport individuals without vehicles from the ferry to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Lou’s name to Trinity Ev.

Lutheran Church, Bethel Ev. Free Church, Washington Island Mosling Recreation Center, or Smiles Therapeutic Riding. Casperson Funeral Home in Sister Bay is assisting the Munao family and will release a complete obituary in the near future.
