Obituary of Louis Castillo Louis A Castillo, age 64, of South Fallsburg, NY passed away peacefully on February 1, 2019 with his children and grandchildren beside him. The son of Cristiana Grullon and Manuel Castillo, Louis was born on July 23, 1954, in the Dominican Republic. Louis is predeceased by his wife Laura Castillo.

Together they shared 43 years of marriage, 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Also known as Louie or “Boss”, Louis was a remarkable man, known for his generosity and exceptional work ethic. Together, he and wife Laura Formed L.C. Construction in 1985, a business he devoted his life to and cherished greatly.

Louis was lucky enough to work alongside his three sons for many years, before retiring at the age of 60 to enjoy the life he and Laura had built together. Knowing he was leaving behind a legacy for his children and grandchildren made him so proud. Louis had the most adventurous spirit.

In his short 64 years he lived his life to the fullest. He found great joy in sharing stories of his extraordinary experiences; stories of his childhood, both in the Dominican Republic and coming here to the United States, his wild and free spirited youth, his journey from being a mechanic, to a carpenter, and eventually a business owner, and of course his favorite story of all, the story of him and his beloved wife Laura. Remembering his outrageous tales will always bring smiles and laughter to his family.

However Louie was both witty and wise; every story had a moral. The life lessons that he instilled in his children will be passed on for generations, some of which include; being charitable and helping anyone in need, being loyal to family and friends, and above all to work hard, play hard and love hard. He was an amazing son, husband, father, brother, boss and friend.
