Louise Smith was born September 15, 1945 in Mississippi to the union of Ernest and Annie Louise Smith. 3 children were born out of this union; Annie Pearl, Louise and Jimmy Smith. Louise departed this life May 7, 2019.

She attended Charles R. Drew Grade School. Louise was a graduate of Roosevelt High School class of 1963. After high school, Louise briefly worked at S. Owens Insurance Agency.

Later she went to work for the Environmental Protection Agency in Chicago, IL and after 30 years of service she retired. Louise confessed her love for Jesus Christ in 1991 where she was later baptized at New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor W. N. Reed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Smith; grandmother, Idessia Moss; brother, Jimmy and aunt, Fannie Mae Massey. She leaves to cherish her precious memories one son Darcell Smith of Minnesota and two daughters, Alisha Smith of Texas and Alaina Smith of Indiana. Louise leaves five grandchildren; Raymonte, De’Sean, De’Vonte, Tre’Von and Nathan and three great-grandchildren.

Louise will be dearly missed by her loving family and dear friends.
