Louise Reed, 89, of Metropolis, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 2nd, 2018 at home. Louise was a retired CNA in the health industry and an avid gardener. Louise was a founding member of the New Frontier Homemakers, and a member of Waldo Baptist Church.

She loved quilting, following and watching Nascar, and spent many days and hours in family genealogy research. Louise had a profound love for her family. Louise is survived by two children, Mitzi (Jim) Borum of Metropolis, and Monte (Liliana) Reed of Metropolis; eight siblings, Genevieve (Wilburn) May of Metropolis, Neva (Joe) Hicks of Metropolis, Alice Shelby of Metropolis, John “Sonny” (Wanda) Sullivan of Metropolis, Floyd (Glenda) Sullivan of Metropolis, Lindell (Mary) Sullivan of Hamilton, Ohio, Roger (Ann) Sullivan of Metropolis, and Brenda (Randy) Langford of Metropolis; five grandchildren, Jared Borum, Jessica Lampley, Luis Reed, Jonathan Reed, and Julio Reed; four great grandchildren, Makiah, Judah, Isaac, and Ellie Lampley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Flora Sullivan; and three siblings, Valda Johnson, Jane Williams, and Donald Sullivan. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, December 6th, 2018 at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah from 11am until 1pm. Funeral services will start at 1pm following visitation with Rev.

Tim Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Audubon Cemetery in Pope Co. IL. Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
