Obituary for Lourdes Felomina Imai – Lourdes Felomina Imai passed away at age 65 at Castle Memorial Hospital due complication of various pneumonia illnesses. Born on March 13, 1953, in Honolulu at Saint Francis Hospital. – She survived by her husband of 38 years Michael Imai, three daughters Heather, Brandie, and Jenesis and a sister Virginia DeMello.
She was employed for 3 years at MacDonald and Porter. – – Some of you all knew my wife as SAM. The name SAM was a given name by a previous wonderful neighbor of the Ringler family, Ralph and Doreen.
Ralph who was retired, would from time to time would take care of our 3 daughters especially Jenesis, he loved Jenesis and watch them go to and from Keolu Elementary school. He had a hard time pronouncing my wife’s name, so he came up with the name of SAM and it stuck. – – Some of you knew her as LuLu.
She decided very recently to use this name while working purposes at various locations because it was easier to pronounce and remember. – – I too had a difficult time pronouncing her name while we were courting so I called her GIRL – – Lourdes as a person was a miracle in itself. When she was born (very prematurely), through childhood live (with the passing of her mother at an early age of 7), and doctors mentioned that there was no way that she will be able to conceive a child, but she proved them wrong with 3 beautiful daughters.
– – Lourdes had many good qualities, but 2 of which for me stands out from all the rest. – – 1 – Lourdes would go out her way making everyone happy and successful before doing anything good for herself. No matter if she despises them or not, she will do everything and anything to the best of her ability making sure they are successful in their life.
– – 2 – Lourdes had a knack from making conversation to total strangers no matter where she goes . To the supermarket at the bus stop waiting for it to arrive, or just in any crowded places. She always listens to them then drum up a simple conversation, which lead to many chit chats like they have known each other for years.
