Obituary for Lovera “Sunny” Mae Chesson Lovera “Sunny” Mae Chesson, 79, of Orange, passed away on August 31, 2018, in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Bob Boone.

Burial will follow at Walles Cemetery in Orangefield. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Born in Lubbock, Texas, on March 5, 1939, she was the daughter of Frank Foster and Edga (Green) Foster.

Sunny was a Registered Nurse and retired from Owens-Illinois. She was also the former owner of Sunny’s Tours, where she traveled across the country. Sunny was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Bridge City.

She led bible studies once a week, across Orange for 17 years. Sunny received her pilot’s license in the 70s. She also enjoyed playing piano.

Sunny was amazing woman, who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Edga Foster; her loving husband, Clyde Mitchell Chesson; her son, Clary Mitchell Chesson; her grandson, Clary Clifton Chesson; and her sister, Thelma McKuster. She is survived by her children, Holli Palmer of Houston, Paul Day and wife Lana Day, of Houston, and Dave Leslie Chesson, Sr. and wife Charolette, of Orange; her daughter-in-law, Ruth Chesson, of Orange; grandchildren, Wesley Palmer, Stephani Palmer, Cason Day, Braeden Day, Chris Kantis and wife Chani, Alyssa Kantis, Craig Chesson and wife Lucy, Lori Chesson, Dave Leslie Chesson, Jr. and wife Karen, and Krissy Chesson Reese and fiancé Chad Havens; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
