Lozelle Hohlt September 24, 1925 – May 15, 2019 Funeral services for Lozelle Hohlt will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett. Interment will follow the services at Sardis Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Hohlt passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the Elkhart Oaks Nursing Home in Elkhart, TX.

She was born in Jewett on September 9, 1925, to Thomas Franklin and Allie Mae (McBride) Hammond. Mrs. Hohlt worked for the Anderson County District Court Clerk’s office in Palestine for twenty years before retiring. She was an accomplished seamstress and made countless articles for friends and family for many years.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Hholt was a Methodist by faith. She is survived by two sons, Albert D. (Bert) Hohlt & wife Kris of Elkhart, and Robert E. Hohlt & wife Joy of Fort Worth; three grandchildren, Daniel R. Hohlt, Calley D. Hohlt, and Sara Holt; one great-grandchild, Logan S. Hohlt; one sister, Mary Rozics of Round Rock; one brother, Thomas Otto Hammond of Crockett; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Hohlt was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Holt.
