Obituary of Luanne Ferguson Luanne Ferguson, (nee Peterson), age 76, of Morris, IL and formerly of Princeton, IL and Elburn, IL passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Morris Hospital. She was born January 13, 1943 to the late Mildred (nee Johnson) and Ernest Peterson in Morris, where she was raised and educated, and was a graduate with the Class of 1961 from Morris High School. Beloved wife of 47 years to David Ferguson; loving mother of Eric & Jen, Darren and Jay Ferguson; proud grandmother of Meghan, Avery, Ethan and Peyton; Jake and Delilah; and Caroline; dear sister of Byron (Raelene) Peterson; and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews, including Lisa Jacobson.

Several other relatives also survive including Juanita Jennings and family. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mervin Peterson; and sister, Naomi Kunkel. Luanne, her family and friends will be forever grateful for the compassionate and loving care that Jen and Lisa provided during her final days.

Luanne will be remembered fondly as a selfless woman with a gentle spirit who cherished those around her. She always looked forward to the monthly get togethers with her classmates. However, her greatest joy and passion was her grandchildren.

A basketball fan and more specifically, a Chicago Bulls fan, Luanne also delighted in crocheting, handcrafting and decorating doll houses, flower gardening and puzzles. Visitation for Luanne will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev.

Dr. Roy Backus officiating. Interment will follow in Fox River Cemetery in Norway, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Turning Pointe Autism Foundation www.
