OBITUARY Lucia Dodel Walsh March 4, 1939 – January 12, 2019 Lucia Dodel Walsh, 79, of Reynoldsburg, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She was born March 4, 1939 in Ozuluama, Mexico, a daughter to the late Tomas and Guadalupe (Cardenas) Mar. Lucia was a lifelong member at Church of the Ascension.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Walsh; children, Robert Dodel, Rosalie “Rose” Karr, Bertha (Brandon) Smith and Thomas Dodel; step-children, Jeff Walsh and Susan (Chris) McDiarmid; grandchildren, Rachel, Hunter, Jackie, Jill, Amber and Zach; step-grandchildren, Jason, Morgan, Melissa; great-grandchild, Angelo; step-great-grandchild, Serena; many relatives in Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lucia is also preceded in death by her first husband, Hans Dodel and step-children, John and Kathy Walsh. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Church of the Ascension, 555 S. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031 with Father Mark Ghiloni officiating. Luncheon will follow at the church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Ascension or Meals on Wheels, 1058 E. Main St., Newark, OH 43055 in Lucia’s memory.
