Lucy Leonard Todd, 95, of So. Windsor and formerly of Lebanon and Manchester, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Manchester Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stratford on July 5, 1923 and growing up in Milford, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (King) Leonard.

Lucy married her beloved husband, John Andrew Todd on August 27, 1944. The couple moved to So. Windsor where they raised their family.

Lucy was a Girl Scout Leader for a troop in So. Windsor when her girls were young. In 1979, the couple moved to Amston Lake in Lebanon.

They were active members of the First Congregational Church of Lebanon. Lucy retired in 1986 after a 25 year career as the Communications Supervisor for the State Police in Hartford. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the states and Europe.

John predeceased Lucy on March 30, 2005 after 61 years of marriage. Lucy moved to the Arbors in Manchester in 2009, where she resided until last year. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and reading, but Lucy will be remembered most fondly by her family for the loving devotion she so generously gave to all of them.

She will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her children, Melonie and Doug Huff of Nevada City, CA, Kimberly Todd and Roger Zemek of Storrs and Andrea and Daniel LaPenta of Vernon; two grandsons, Daryl Todd and Wesley and Maria Todd; a sister-in-law, Barbara DuBois of Newburgh, NY and many extended family and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three siblings. The family will receive guests on Thursday (September 20th) beginning at 10 am at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the First Congregational Church of Lebanon, P.O. Box 125, Lebanon 06249.
