Obituary for Lucy Lorraine De La Cruz Lucy Delacruz was born October 8, 1939 in Woodburn, Oregon and died peacefully on December 13, 2018. She lived a full and rich life with her seven children, husband of 52 years Rey DelaCruz, 35 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Lucy is preceded in death by her husband Rey, daughter Barbara Briseno, son Michael Briseno, granddaughter Carolina Bermea, and her sister and lifelong best friend Eula Raymond.

She is survived by her sons Jesse and Thomas Briseno, daughters Maria Briseno, Betsy Cortes, Angie Sandoval, and daughter-in-law Kelly Briseno. Lucy and Rey loved traveling across the United States and Mexico and spending time with their large family. She enjoyed thrift-store shopping and weekly family dinners.

She worked in the grass seed industry for many years side by side with her sister Eula. After retirement, Lucy met Eula for lunch at the Burger Hut in Hubbard nearly every week until Eula’s death in November. Full of life and with love for sarcasm, making folks laugh, and entertaining great-grandchildren, she was always up for a Snapchat filtered selfie or a good belly laugh.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke’s Church in Woodburn on Friday December 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow. Upcoming Events Memorial Mass , DEC 21. 11:00 AM St Luke Catholic Church 417 Harrison St Woodburn, OR, US, 97071 Graveside Service , DEC 21.
