Memorial contributions can be made to the family directly. Lynda was born on February 7, 1950. She was raised in Springfield, Illinois where after graduation from High School attended Springfield College for a year.
During High School and even while attending College she continued to work at various jobs as a Secretary. In the Summer of 1973 she became a Secretary for the Dean of Students at Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield. It was there in August of 1974 that she met Jerry.
They were married on July 19, 1975. She helped and encouraged him in his studies, vicarage and churches at the very locations throughout their life together. She was also very encouraging and proud of his completion of his Doctor of Ministry Degree.
She was the proud mother of her children, Carissa and J.J. They were the joy of her life as a mother. She participated and supported them through their many school activities and sporting events.
She celebrated their confirmations and graduations from High School and College. She and Jerry were presenters for Lutheran Marriage Encounter for 10 years. She loved being able to do ministry with Jerry and to watch the couples grow in their marital relationship.
She enjoyed sharing the joy of her own marriage with other people. She loved and did many crafts. She was an avid reader.
She enjoyed watching and crying over the Hallmark Movie Channel shows. She loved our dogs that we had as family. She really enjoyed the opportunity to make something whether a gift or project for others.
She especially loved Christmas and was one who was more willing to give than to receive. Her love for Jerry and her children was evident to many people. She would always express that they were the foundation of her life.
Nothing made her happier and prouder than to see all of them do well. She became a child of God and a Lutheran when she was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith on January 19, 1975. She helped Jerry share in his ministry where her gifts and talents could be used.
She especially became involved in the Lutheran Schools that Carissa and J.J. attended. She enjoyed attending church and bible classes (that Jerry taught). Many lives were touched through her faith involvement.
We as her family will miss her deeply. Making the adjustment to her being gone is now our big challenge. But the great joy for us is that we know she is at home with Jesus, all her loved ones and friends she was with here on earth.
We as her family long and wait for the day of that reunion with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Clara Bollinger. Survivors include her husband, Rev.
Dr. Jerome (Jerry) Brownlee; daughter, Carissa; and son, Jerome Jr. (J.J.). She will be missed by many family and friends who loved her dearly. FAMILY Keith Bollinger, Father Clara Hinds Bollinger, Mother Rev.
