OBITUARY Lynda Gayle (Landry) Nelson July 12, 1946 – January 20, 2019 Lynda Gayle Landry Nelson, age 72, of Deer Park, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Lynda graduated from Welsh High School were she played basketball and softball. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

She was also a caring person to others. She enjoyed fishing, spending time on the beach, reading, all children, music, and watching wheel of fortune. She was preceded in death by her partner, Lisa Davis, parents, Otis and Inez Landry, and a sister, Delores Dugas.

Those left to cherish her memory are son, Baron Nelson and wife, Jeanna of Deer Park, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Nelson and Melanie Nelson of Denton, Texas; brother, Otis Landry, Jr. of Lake Charles; a sister, Ophelia Owens and husband, Lee of St. Louis, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Hixson Funeral Chapel in Welsh, Louisiana. Burial will follow in Laccassine Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. hixsonwelsh.com for the Nelson family.
