Lynette “Shequira” (Adams) Johnson, 63, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday at her home. Born in New York City on December 21, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Doris (McRae) Adams. She enjoyed listening to music, singing and reading books.

Lynette also enjoyed playing Wheel of Fortune and watching her stories. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Johnson Sr. who died in 2006. Lynette is survived by her loving Daughter, Shenique Johnson, loving Sons, Jacob Johnson Jr., Kirsten Johnson, Kerrin and Kaseem Johnson, grandchildren, Tarin, Jacob, Jordan, Lilyanna Lynn, Jurnee Lynn, Keanna, Nya, and Jaela Johnson, 2 Great-Grandchildren, Amariana and Kamora, two Brothers, Gerard and Kevin Adams, Uncle, Artemus McRae, Aunts, Willie Mae Loomis, Alice Adams, Tommie Smith, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Viewing will be held from on Saturday, March 23rd, from 11:00 AM till 12:00 PM followed by a service with Reverend Anthony Vieney at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on our website.
