Lyvone Sloan May 29, 1953 – December 18, 2018 Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lyvone T. Sloan daughter of the late Alice Black Ratliff and Harvey Ratliff was born in Ellington, Missouri, on May 29, 1953. She departed this life at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on December 18, 2018, at the age of 65. On September 4, 1971, in Ellington, Missouri, Lyvone was united in marriage to Kenneth Sloan and to this union three children were born.

Lyvone was a member of the Ellington First Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, quilting, deer hunting, collecting antiques and tending to her flower garden. Lyvone loved helping people and her greatest joy was taking care of her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Lyvone is preceded in death by four brothers, Waylon Ratliff, Dersey Ratliff, Lewis Ratliff, and Gary Ratliff; and one sister, Zona Wood. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Kenny of Ellington, Missouri; son, Samuel Sloan of Ellington, Missouri; daughters Treva Sloan of Centerville, Missouri and Amy Chitwood of Ellington, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Caleb, Natasha, Chelsea, Ranee, Emily, Ethan, Kelley, Josie, Abby, and Destiny; five great grandchildren, Elijah, Brantley, Arya, Brayson, and Jacob; two brothers, Roy Ratliff of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Dow Ratliff of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two sisters, Samantha Wilson and husband Greg of Lavaca, Arkansas and Delorse Dea and husband Richard of Ellington, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington. Funeral will begin at 1:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dan Kitinoja to officiate and assisted by Brother Jim Frago.

Burial will be held in the Santhuff Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ethan Chitwood, Caleb Bettes, Daniel Silva, Andy Purcell, Corey Miles, Jim Pobst, and Dustin Pobst. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Ellington 1st Baptist Church Building Fund.
