OBITUARY Mabel (Granny) Dobbs May 3, 1928 – December 3, 2018 Mabel “Granny” Dobbs, 90, long-time resident of Austin, Texas passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 3, 2018. She was born May 3, 1928 to Sophia Rein and Robert Judson Haskett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jimmie B. “PaPa” Dobbs (December, 2001) and their son Albert Dobbs (June, 1988).

Mabel “Granny” Dobbs is survived by her daughter, Martha Raven and husband, Fred Raven, seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mabel “Granny” Dobbs was a sweet, spunky lady who loved to be on the go as much as she loved baking and playing games with her family. Anytime opportunity to go shopping, traveling, or dining out, she was ready to jump in the car and go.

Mabel “Granny” Dobbs retired from Insurance Council of Texas and had many friends. She lived a long, blessed life and was loved by many. Her family will cherish the memories and keep her in their hearts forever.

The family appreciates your words of support and prayers at this difficult time. The family will receive friends from Noon to 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 10, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Dr. Ken Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
