Mable R. Comstock, 95, of N. Washington Street Elkhorn, WI died Wednesday June 27, 2018 at Ridgestone of Elkhorn, WI. Mable was the daughter of the late Dr. L. Howard and Lillian (Turner) Coulson, born January 20, 1923 in her maternal grandparent’s home in Grayslake, IL. She was a lifelong resident of Elkhorn, WI, spending all but eight years of it on N. Washington Street.

She graduated from Elkhorn High School with the class of 1941. She was united in marriage to the love of her life J. R. “Dick” Comstock Sr. on September 25, 1943 in her parent’s home in Elkhorn, WI. Dick died May 9, 1968.

Over the years Mable worked at Skrudland’s Photo of Lake Geneva and Frank Holton & Company of Elkhorn. She was a member of the Millard Community Covenant Church and its Widows Mite group, volunteered at Lakeland Hospital from 1978 to 1994, member of the Elkhorn American Legion Auxiliary and associate member of the Viet-Now, member of the Eastern Star. For over 24 years she enjoyed working in the treasurer’s at the Walworth County Fair.

Mable is survived by her son: John R. “Dick” Comstock Jr. of Elkhorn, WI and her daughter and son-in-law; Peggy and Brian Wiswell of Spring Prairie, WI, her grandchildren: Christine (Timothy) Zollinger and Kenneth (Aimee) Wiswell, her great-grandson: Alec Wiswell, also step great-grandchildren; Paul and Collin Zollinger, her grandchildren; Kevin and Jennifer Comstock and great-granddaughter Julie Abbott. One special niece; Sue (Norb) Schag and two nephews; Dan (Patty) Carroll and Jim (Roxie) Coulson all of CA. She is further survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Forest and Leonard (Ellen) Coulson, two sisters; Helen (Art) Goldston and Lorraine (Jack) Carroll, two nieces; Libby Goldston and Meri Becker, one nephew; Raymond Coulson. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday July 2, 2018 at Millard Community Covenant Church N6713 County Road O Elkhorn, WI with Rev. Sharon Nelson officiating.

Visitation will be 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Hudson Cemetery in Lyons, WI. Memorials may be made in Mable’s name to Millard Community Covenant Church or Walworth County Fair Foundation.
